On 9 October the Net Impact chapters of the Melbourne Business School (MBS) and the AGSM at the University of New South Wales hosted the Australian Net Impact Conference at MBS. Net Impact is a global network of leaders who are changing the world through business.
The theme for the event was Leading Business Innovation for Social Change and included a series of keynotes and panels discussing the latest trends in carbon emissions trading, green technology, social capital markets and social enterprise as tools for social change.
One of the highlights was the opening panel which included Professor Jim Schorr from Vanderbilt University and Co-Founder and Chairman of Net Impact, Dr. Alex Nicholls from the Skoll Centre for Social Entrepreneurship at Oxford University and our very own Cheryl Kernot.
The event inspired students, faculty, alumni and community members from all over Australia and raised the profile of Net Impact. CSI is delighted to have contributed to the success of the conference.
