CSI is proud to offer, for the second year, and in conjunction with the Chain Reaction Foundation, the CSI Scholarship to attend the PRIA International Internship Program in Delhi. The closing date is Monday 13 July.

Your host organisation in India will be PRIA. The program is to be run in India, in Delhi, for eight weeks from 31 August to 23 October 2009. The program is inspirational. You will be with people who have contributed life-long learning to designing new and creative community development programs and implementing them, sometimes against overwhelming odds.
The CSI Scholarship is open to people with a position in a not-for-profit or volunteer organisation, those connected with citizen engagement in the community, or to university students passionate about community engagement.
CSI is offering the CSI Scholarship to provide:
• Return economy class airfare between your home city in Australia and New Delhi
• The PRIA fee of US $1,700 to attend the program and stay on the PRIA campus
• $500 towards out-of-pocket expenses.
PRIA provides:
• Cost of stay (twin share basis) for the entire period of internship
• Travel to and within field sites
• Food for stay in Delhi (note: interns bear the cost of food during the six week fieldwork period).
The scholarship recipient will talk of the experience at presentations in Sydney and Melbourne, organised by CSI and the Chain Reaction Foundation, with attendance costs covered by CSI. The recipient is expected to write a report on the experience and to provide a copy of the dissertation prepared for the internship program.
The closing date for applications is Monday 13 July 2009. Shortlisted applicants will be interviewed in the week beginning 20 July. It is expected that the winner of the scholarship will be announced by Friday 24 July.
